About Learning With Britt

At Learning With Britt, I help expats, international employees, and non-native Dutch speakers learn Dutch with confidence. But learning a language is about more than grammar and vocabulary. My goal is to help students feel comfortable using Dutch in real-life situations — at work, in social settings, and in everyday life.

Meet Britt

My name is Britt van Leeuwen, founder of Learning With Britt. After completing my teacher training at Pabo, I qualified as a Dutch language teacher and went on to complete a Master's degree in Educational Needs.

Over the years, I have gained extensive experience as a Dutch teacher, mentor, Dutch as a Second Language (NT2) teacher, and workplace supervisor in secondary education. This combination of professional training and hands-on experience forms the foundation of my teaching approach.

I believe that learning a language should be practical, personal, and enjoyable. That is why I tailor my lessons to each student's level, needs, and personal goals.

How I Teach

All lessons take place online via Microsoft Teams. I work with recognized NT2 teaching materials published by Boom, including the NT2 op maat series.

The structured approach of these materials provides a clear learning path, while my personal guidance ensures that lessons are adapted to each individual student. Step by step, we work on language skills, confidence, and the ability to use Dutch in real-life situations.

For Individuals & Organizations

Learning With Britt offers lessons to both individual students and organizations.

For international employees, learning Dutch can make a real difference. Being able to communicate in Dutch can increase confidence, improve communication, and contribute to a more comfortable and positive working environment.

I also support organizations that want to invest in the language development of their international employees. Depending on the situation, employers may be eligible for subsidies that can help cover language training costs, making professional language development an attractive investment.
